Northern Pulp meets with town officials to present proposal for mill’s restart

Representatives from Northern Pulp met with officials from Pictou County in Nova Scotia last week to detail its plan to restart the idled kraft mill, says the CBC.

Parent company Paper Excellence plans to use what spokesperson Graham Kissack says is “first-of-its-kind technology” to treat the effluent before it diffuses into Pictou’s harbour.

Kissack says the plans will be revealed to the public soon.
